First Day of Preschool!

Today Grayson started preschool at a church near our home.

Getting ready to go to school - carrying the green bag that all the kids carry!

We arrived at school and he was all smiles!

We found Grayson's "hook" with his name and picture.

He hung up his green bag and then headed inside with a quick "bye Mommy!" No tears - no hesitation at all.

This is the classroom - the rug in the foreground is where they have "circle time."

And this is Grayson's spot on the rug.

There are 13 three-year-olds in Grayson's class and two teachers. Last week his teachers came to our apartment to meet Grayson in his home and see his favorite toys and where he sleeps. They brought him bubbles and we had a great visit.

He will go every morning from 9 - 12, unless that proves to be too much at which point we can cut back to 3 or 4 days per week. With the new baby coming in November, we think school will be a great break for us (and for Grayson!).

I should have taken a picture of the very cool playground. Especially since last Saturday Tony spent 3 hours there shoveling mulch along with other volunteer parents. It looks great, and Grayson proudly says that his Daddy helped fix his playground.

We're Divin' In!

We've been swimming a few times a week all summer, and Grayson loves it! About a week ago he finally started swimming on his own while wearing his "floaty." His newfound freedom quickly led to jumping off the side of the pool and more!

27 Week Baby Bump

We are officially in the third trimester and the belly is growing well. In about 3 weeks I'll have an ultrasound to check the baby's growth - but based on the belly measurement everything appears to be fine. At this point with Grayson we were measuring 4 weeks behind (though his little 4 pound 11 oz. (1814 grams) self was born perfectly healthy - just tiny). We're praying for a 6 pounder this time!

Imagine It!

Last week our friends Randa, Jake, and Maddie Rose visited from Birmingham, Alabama. Randa and I grew up together. Our Moms met when I was a newborn and Randa wasn't even born yet. We went to preschool together, had playdates, and were best friends for all of our childhood. Now we have little kids of our own, so she drove to Atlanta and we visited Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta and then had a slumber party.

At the museum, Grayson and Jake went fishing.

Then Grayson sold me some fresh produce, which cost me a whopping $10.

The choo-choo trains were a big hit.

And Grayson and Jake enjoyed climbing through the tree, along with the squirrels, raccoons, and a very scary fox.

Randa, Maddie Rose, and Jake enjoyed the sing-along time.

And Grayson loved looking at the train display.

Then Jake and Grayson built sand cakes.

And the threesome displayed their artistic talents.

Look Mommy - I'm painting!
