Belated Birthday Singing
I'm really behind with posting videos I've taken of the kids. It takes an extra step - uploading them, which is not a fast process. Technology has come so far - now they need a way for me to just hit a button and have my videos appear. I'm sure it won't be long.
Here is Grayson's "Happy Birthday" song on his 7th birthday (February 4, 2012)

Book Float Parade
Today was the annual Book Float Parade at Grayson's elementary school. His class has been studying fairy tales and tall tales, and one of their big assignments was for each child to write their own. When it came time to choose a book for the Book Float Parade, Grayson's teacher let each child choose their own book and own character. Grayson chose to be the dragon from his very own story. He is a very good writer, and his wonderful imagination comes through clearly.
We made the cape with felt, sponges, a hot glue gun, and a little velcro. Tony made the cellophane fire. I had fun painting his face. In the end, he was one scary but awfully cute dragon.
