Touch a Truck
The City of Decatur hosted its annual "Touch a Truck" event last weekend. Grayson had a great time looking up close at a firetruck, cement mixer, police car, digger, and lots of other city vehicles.

We belong at the Zoo!
Last week Grayson and I went on a date to the Atlanta Zoo. Mima watched Max at home, so we had some great one-on-one time. We first met up with our playgroup friends for snacks and birthday cookies for 3 of Grayson's friends who were turning 4. Then while the other kids went to ride the train and the carousel, Grayson and I went exploring (he wanted to see the animals!).

Mima and Pop-pop visit
Mima and Pop-pop spent a few days at our house last week. It was a fun visit. Grayson especially likes running into their room in the morning when he wakes up (and we like that too!)
Grayson helped me put together his new toy shelves. Now his room is all organized.

Yard Work
This past weekend we worked in our yard - a lot. And on Sunday afternoon I had to go to a meeting at church but Tony wanted to keep working in the yard - - while watching both kids. I knew this wouldn't work, and knew he'd be frustrated, and knew that when I got home from my meeting he would declare what an awful afternoon it was. Boy was I wrong! This is what I saw when I drove up:

I just laughed at the genius of the situation. Max was perfectly happy in his exersaucer, which Tony had moved to the front porch. And Grayson - in his pajamas - was covered in dirt "helping."
This little one loves his exersaucer. Until now it's just resided in the middle of our kitchen.

It's Snowing!
This morning we awoke to cold rain, which turned to sleet, and then eventually. . . to SNOW! It has been snowing steadily since about 11am and is expected to continue until later this evening.
Grayson is delighted.
Earlier this winter he was so disappointed when I told him that, unlike Brussels, there is rarely ever snow in Atlanta . . .
and we probably would not get to make a snowman this year.
Well, I have been proven wrong.
