My Belly

I am 33 weeks along now and decided to have some pictures taken of my belly. With my last two pregnancies I remember sitting in the hospital in labor thinking I should have had pictures taken. So this time I did . . . and I'm glad I did.

More sledding!

Today was day #2 of no school in Atlanta (and tomorrow will be day #3) so the kids went sledding again! And today our street was one big slab of ice, so the sledding was faster.

Atlanta Snow Storm 2011

From a local news station:

Metro Atlanta was hit with a major snow storm Sunday. We did officially break the record for snowfall for yesterday in Atlanta with 3.7" just before midnight. We've added about an inch since, so we may look back on this storm as a 5" snowstorm for Atlanta.

---------------------------------

Our kids are loving it. No school and plenty of snow to play in. Here are a few pictures - and be sure to watch this first video (and listen closely for Max's laughter - he sat and watched and laughed for probably an hour). The kids have been sledding (yes sledding!) down the top of our street.

Our Christmas 2010

Our Christmas holiday was filled with fun, friends, and family. First we started with fun - it was finally Christmas morning and Santa had been to our house!

After lots of presents, we kept our tradition and went to Christmas Brunch at the Ritz Carlton. This year we were delighted to have our friends Jordan and Bill and their daughter Catalina join us. The food was as wonderful as usual, and the kids were amazingly good. Yes, it may have had something to do with the DVD player for the little ones and Grayson's new Nintendo DS. But they were all so well behaved throughout the 3 hour brunch, which was more than the adults had ever wished for (and yes, we enjoyed every minute).

Later Christmas afternoon Mima and Pop-pop arrived . . . with more presents!

And late afternoon on Christmas it started to snow. It was Atlanta's first Christmas snowfall in more than 100 years. The next day the kids enjoyed playing in the snow . . . until Grayson realized it was fun to throw snow at Max and Max didn't like it so much.

Then Mima and Pop-pop left and Prima and Papa George arrived for a visit.

And after they left - Nana arrived!

And as soon as Nana left we packed up the Christmas decorations. It was a really wonderful Christmas holiday, and we look forward to next year when little Ella will be with us!
