Future President meets Former President

Yes, these pictures are for real. A couple of weeks ago (pre-election) our friend Ethan invited us to a fundraiser for a Georgia senate candidate featuring President Clinton. Ethan worked for the President during his time in the White House and has since worked for both the President and Senator Hillary Clinton on campaigns and official visits. Since Max was only 2 weeks old we opted to stay home, but Grayson and Tony went and the President said Grayson was the perfect future candidate for office (we think so too!).
PS: That they went to a Democratic fundraiser in order to meet the President is not a reflection of who we really voted for ;) We just happen to have great Democrat friends.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was much anticipated at our house this year. Every day this past week Grayson would tell me exactly how many days it was until "Halloween Day."

Grayson was Spider-man. Max was a little pumpkin.

Earlier in the week Grayson's preschool class took a fieldtrip to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. I was one of the Moms who got to go along, and it was nice to get out of the house with my big kid.

Then our playgroup celebrated Halloween with a party!

That's Ben and Grayson.

Then the big day finally arrived and Grayson suited up and headed out.

He had hurt his foot falling off his bike the day before, so Daddy had to carry him some.

And he also hitched a ride in our neighbor's wagon for a while.

All the kids on our street went trick-or-treating together. At our house, Tony handed out the candy.

Grayson's friend Clay was also Spider-man!

Soon it was time to head home and examine the loot. We are now rationing out "trick-or-treats" (as in "Mommy, I want another trick-or-treat").
