It had to be done . . .
Max's precious baby curls had gotten so long that when his hair was wet it reached down below his shoulders. And when dry it was starting to look really poofy and messy. As chief kid haircutter (Grayson has had only one professional cut in his life) I grabbed my scissors and did my best to trim him up but still keep some semblance of the baby curls. My sweet baby is growing up.

Max at School
This past year Max has been going to the same preschool as Grayson, but just two mornings a week from 9 - 12. I though we'd just try it, and if he didn't like it we'd just quit. The real point was just to give me a little break and a chance to get stuff done without kids. Turns out, he did wonderfully from the very beginning. And I credit that entirely to his wonderful teachers, Nancy, Laura, and Helen who every week get down on the floor with the kids and play with them, lead them in activities, take them on walks, and take them to the playground. Unbeknownst to the parents, they were taking pictures throughout the year that they presented to us at the end in a photo album. It is such a treasure! We also received a digital copy so I can share them with you.

Our Last Soccer Saturday of the Season
Saturday was Grayson's last soccer game of the spring season.
Even though they don't keep score at this age, his team won every game of the season - most by a landslide - except this one.
