Trop Mignon
Today we went to the park with Séverine, Castalie, and new baby Auxence.
Grayson, as you know, is all boy. All AMERICAN boy. You know, he's a rough and tumble type. He runs fast, talks loudly, and climbs onto and jumps off of almost anything.
Castalie, as you may know, is all girl. All FRENCH girl. You know, she's the sweet and feminine type. She speaks with a soft Parisian accent, doesn't like to get dirty, and loves to read books by herself.
Most of the time when they play together, Grayson pulls at her clothes, throws sand on her, or does some other unacceptable boy thing to try to get her to notice him. Eventually he gives up and just shrugs as if to say "I just don't understand girls." Meanwhile, Castalie ignores him and is probably thinking "quelle horreur!"
Et voila - they were hamming it up together and it was trop mignon (too sweet).

But today at the park our little American boy finally rubbed off on the little French girl.

Pretending It's Spring
I complain a lot about the weather in Belgium. It is cold, gray, and rainy a lot of the time. So when you get a February day like we had today, with blue skies and a high temperature of 59 degrees farenheit, you have to brag about it. And for one day give Belgium a break.
The sun was so bright

Grayson is 3!
Yesterday was Grayson's 3rd Birthday! We celebrated in Toy Story style!
Grayson was a little shy during "Happy Birthday"

Tobin and Grayson loved their cupcakes
Of course they did - Grayson made them!
Grayson and Tobin were silly on the couch. Tobin is another American living in Brussels. His family has a blog too!
Valentina and Tobin came over for our little party

Next we flew to Houston, Texas, for Paul and Andrea's wedding. You may recall that they got engaged in Brussels while visiting us! Paul has been Tony's best friend since elementary school, where they were the brain bowl champions.
Tony was Paul's Best Man
He gave a very sincere and meaningful toast (I was very proud!)
We had a wonderful time. After the toast Tony even loosened up and danced with me - a lot!
We wish Andrea and Paul the very best!
While in Houston we stayed with friends Amy and Lance and their son Knox. Grayson and Knox were very silly together!

6th Stop: Our last stop was back to Atlanta for just a couple of days. We stayed with our friends Amie and Rob, and their daughters Sienna and Sophia. I am so sad that I didn't take ANY pictures (except one really bad one of Tony and Rob watching football, but I decided to spare them and not post it). The stop was too quick, and soon we were on a plane back to Brussels.
